Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our fleet of vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of our vehicles, contributing to the overall success of our maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete assigned tasks from the Equipment Supervisor daily.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with vehicles and equipment using technical knowledge.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations, and more.
• Conduct inspections and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Verify vehicle serviceability through test drives and system adjustments.
• Maintain vehicle records by documenting services and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with state vehicle requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of service vehicles.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications.
• Report directly to the Shop Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Commercial drivers license (class B minimum), with clean driving record
• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting issues and updates.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
